More and more banks are gradually getting into the business of retailing GSM airtime credit to their customers through a Virtual Topup Service powered by dialing a USSD code. For Keystone bank, the USSD code to dial is *322*082# to get started and subsequently, the customer would just need to dial *322*082*Amount# to load airtime value for any amount of his choice.

Keystone bank calls this service Quick Airtime Recharge and it is available only to their customers who have registered a GSM number with them.

If you normally receive sms alerts on your GSM phone as a Keystone customer, then you can probably use that phone to buy GSM airtime instantly without the need to scratch recharge cards. Actually those people who still scratch recharge cards just to load airtime credit belong to the old school as there are now a growing number of better platforms to load airtime.

Last time I checked, it was GTBank and Fidelity bank that were offering it and now Keystone is also offering it and they do it by making use of a special USSD code that can only be used by GSM numbers already registered at the bank.

Keystone bank is one of those banks that were nationalized and acquired by AMCON, as asset management company owned by the Federal government. It was formerly known as Bank PHB.

Do you have an account with Keystone bank? You should try out their Quick Airtime Recharge service and see how life has been made easier for you.
