Since Diamond bank plc has been taken over by Access bank many months ago, there has been a gradual process to integrate the services available on the former to the latter. What many customers already know is that both banks are now one now and payments can be made into either bank account using any branch and their usual bank account numbers. However, about a week now, many customers have been experiencing poor service delivery with Diamond bank as they experience things like not receiving transaction alerts by sms, no access to internet banking, poor or no ATM service and bank branches filled with complaining customers.

There is no cause for alarm as far as I know if you were a customer of Diamond bank and have not been receiving the same service as you used to and it doesn't mean that the bank has failed or is closing. It would soon be resolved as the banks are to big to close shop.

This week, a friend of mine sent a transfer of money to a Diamond bank account but even after 4 days, the receiver is still worried that he has not received any credit alert or increase in his account balance. The sender sent the money using a GT Bank account and the money has not been returned. I just guessed that it would be with Access bank and may only be credited after they have finished their integration program with Diamond bank.

I did a recent check on Access bank's twitter page and notice that they posted a notice about upgrading their systems and I also noticed that Diamond bank's old website is now redirecting to Access bank's website.

If you are used to using Diamond bank's internet banking website and have a diamond username with password, you can use your old username to login on the access bank website but you may need to update your password.
