GTBank Mobile money and their Incorrect Activation Code error.

For several hours now, I have been trying to activate my Android phone for GTBank mobile money. I had already downloaded the apk android app from the opera apps store since I was having a bit of problem with the market.

So, after having downloaded the apk to my Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duo(B5512) and registered for an account using my mobile phone, the next step was to activate my account. However on clicking on activate and filling in the required details together with the activation code I received by SMS, I am consistently getting an error saying:

"Dear , please note that you entered an Incorrect Activation Code. Kindle verify your activation code and try again. Thank you"

So I then called GTConnect to tell them about my problem and was asked a lot of personal questions such as my account details and the rest and was told to wait for an sms containing a new activation code or OTP which I would use to activate my mobile money account. I spent about 5 mins on that phone and after a short while also received an sms containing a new activation code.

I have again tried out this new activation code or OTP to activate my mobile money account with GTBank and am still getting the error "Invalid Activation Code".

If you ask me, this is a bit disappointing from GTB and this is not a good way to promote a new service.

I'm beginning to think I either downloaded a wrong GTbank mobile money app or that the service has not yet been fully deployed. Truth is, I'm not going to call back customer service again or visit the branch to solve this issue. Perhaps, I'll try out other mobile money service providers since the market is not yet a monopoly.

Pls server am pleading,on the 18/2/2014 i open an account with the gt bank waiting 4 an sms .to get back my atm with other file all i see was null message please help me to sort this out .my pleasure

OTP means One Time password and it would be sent to you when you install the app. If you have not received it yet, you can contact GTB customer service
